Described as a “Cult Classic”, this horror story was originally published some 15 years ago.

It starts with the tap-tapping sound that follows Amanda around the house; but why is it that Ed doesn’t hear it when she isn’t there? It’s nothing to worry about though, right?

But then the strange dreams start, the provocative behaviour, the arguments, the shoplifting, the black outs, the dark twisted humour and Amanda realises there is something very wrong. Something out of her control.

At just 165 pages Come Closer is like being on a haunted roller coaster that you can’t get off. As the tension builds, the uneasiness gnaws away at you and the horror sucks you in.

This isn’t a genre I would normally read but Gran’s seductive writing style made this a chillingly compelling read that I devoured in one go,
